Fillings

As part of our pediatric dentistry services, we provide children with fillings to restore holes caused by decay or to repair damaged sections of children's teeth.

Children's fillings are a routine procedure in our office, and they can usually be performed within one office visit. We simply remove any decay that is present on the tooth and then fill in the area. Overall, the main purpose of a filling is to prevent any additional decay from occuring on your tooth. A filling seals off a section of the tooth and protects it - which eliminates any risk for infection that can cause pain or discomfort.

Fractured or damaged teeth and tooth decay can be corrected with fillings, and most teeth can be treated with bonded, tooth-colored composite resin. Caught early enough, children's cavities can be treated easily and painlessly. If not treated, decay can lead to discomfort and/or infection.
