Dental fillings are part of the restorative dentistry services we provide at Patrick Toms DMD. Our tooth filling material is used to replace holes caused by decay or to repair damaged sections of your teeth. Primarily, these filings serve to seal off an area and protect it from further damage or decay. Fractured or damaged teeth and tooth decay can be corrected with fillings.
Tooth Filling Procedure
We begin by removing any present tooth decay or damage, and then we apply the filling to seal off the area. Most teeth can be treated with bonded, tooth-colored composite resin. If not treated, discomfort and/or infection may result.
Dental fillings are a routine procedure at Patrick Toms DMD, and they can be performed in minimal time - usually one office visit. If you're feeling a bit anxious about an upcoming filling procedure, you might be a great candidate for our sedation dentistry. Give us a call to learn more.
